Kamut, an ancient grain, that has the most unique smooth, buttery and nutty flavor. We use organic kamut berries and self grind them to get this wonderful sourdough flavor combined with poppyseeds and beautiful tartness from added sour cherries.
Using a method that requires 18 hours of fermentation, the bread develops strong flavors that come together perfectly once baked.
60% organic whole kamut flour, 5% whole rye flour
The sourdough making is a 2 day process.

The Kamut bread is delicious. I have also ordered other breads from Matok and all were delicious. I highly recommend using a bread knife to slice these loafs when you get home. I slice all my loaves and keep them separated using parchment paper, then put the cut loaves in freezer ziploc bags to be frozen. They toast beautifully in any toaster.
